Get your reading glasses on!

If you zoom the picture you can see one strand from the yellow wire crossing over to the ground (black) wire and touching the connector.

That's all it takes to make the circuit and the relevant input in Windows will always show "ON".

Can you expand on the issue and the cause? Looks good to me.

Just remember it's not the same order in the RJ45. I tend to put shared wires on the LHS, ground in this case, often +ve in throttles.
